FAQ
The government has its own channel, so why donate through NRNA Japan?▾
You can of course give directly to the Government of Nepal, and we link the official channel right on this page. But NRNA is the fund our community has always turned to in hard times, and NRNA ICC works on the ground to make sure every donation reaches the right place. When donations from all over Japan travel together through one trusted route, we can record every single yen openly, thank each donor by name, and bring the many Nepali organizations in Japan together behind one campaign, with NRNA Japan taking care of it all as the community's guardian. And if you have already donated directly, just report it to us and your contribution will still be counted in the campaign's record.
What is NRNA doing right now in response to the floods?▾
Relief distribution is already underway on the ground. Working with NRNA ICC and local volunteers, emergency supplies, food and drinking water are being delivered to flood-affected communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading — you can see photos of the distribution on this page. Donations to this fund are consolidated and sent through NRNA so they reach where the need is greatest.
What will Nepal need most?▾
Needs change over time. The first phase centers on search and rescue, first aid and emergency supplies. As the response continues, needs shift toward safe drinking water, preventing the spread of disease, shelter for displaced families, and reaching communities cut off by destroyed roads and bridges. The fund follows these changing needs on the ground.

What experience does NRNA have with disasters in Nepal?▾
NRNA has stood with Nepal through past disasters, including the community-wide response to the 2015 earthquake. Those long-standing relationships — with local authorities and community organizations on the ground — are what allow donations to move quickly and reach affected families through trusted channels.
